Camila Toro is a young mom, an entrepreneur with the purpose to spread happiness in the world. In her store Happy Cami she shares tools and products to educate with a positive vision.
M: What is Happy Cami?
Camila Toro: I'm a mother, professional, entrepreneur and wife with the desire to share Happiness around the world. I believe that happiness can be learned. If we as parents educate ourselves in happiness, we can transform the way in which the next generations perceive it.
M: Why do you decide to embark on this entrepreneurship?
Camila Toro: Happy Cami has been around for as long as I can remember, when I was 10 years of age, I used to carry around smiley face stickers to give to those around me to spread happiness. I did this for many years, and I still do it now, but it was only two years ago that I decided to turn that passion into a “business.”
It was then that I started to look for ways to share that happiness, either with special gift boxes to personalized mugs. Then, I realized that everyone everywhere is always looking for a sense of happiness and figured out that it was essential to start from deep inside ourselves, and the best way to do that is to give people the tools and education about the extensive subject of happiness.
M: Where do you see Happy Cami in 10 years?
Camila Toro: In 10 years, I see Happy Cami as an expert in the subjects of Happiness and positive psychology with an academic program for parents and educators that can be implemented in many schools around the world. There will also be a Happy Cami line of products that help parents to work with their children the subjects of gratitude, self-esteem, and Happiness.
M: How being a mom has influenced your work and career?
Camila Toro: My goal has always been to share happiness, but only when I became a mother, it was clear to me where to focus and give my full attention. I don’t think we should wait to be old to learn how to be happy, my mission is to change how future generations perceive happiness.
M: What advice do you have for other entrepreneur moms?
Camila Toro: I think is important to remember to “live one day at a time” and that we are MOTHERS AND ENTREPRENEURS; the first is the most essential job in the world that comes without instructions or training program, the latter is to fulfill personal goals and reach a professional level with our own enterprise. The important thing is to understand that, even if sometimes things don’t go as smooth and fast as we would like, living one day at a time with happiness in our hearts, we can advance in big leaps without even realizing it.
